Prepare for Rainy Roads with Aquapel at Capitol Subaru

October 1st, 2026

Keeping a clear view of the road is important through Salem's changing weather, especially when rain and wet conditions make windshield care a priority. For a limited time, Capitol Subaru is offering a free Aquapel application with a new wiper blade set installed, helping you prepare your windshield for the road ahead. Wiper blades play an important role in maintaining visibility, but exposure to sunlight, moisture, dirt, and regular use can gradually reduce their effectiveness. Pairing fresh wiper blades with a professional glass treatment can provide additional support when rainy weather arrives. Aquapel is designed to help water move more easily across treated automotive glass, giving you another way to maintain a clearer windshield during wet conditions. Regular windshield cleaning and timely wiper replacement remain important parts of vehicle care, while treatments such as Aquapel can complement those routine maintenance habits. At Capitol Subaru in Salem, our service team can help you take care of these smaller details so your Subaru is better prepared for everyday drives, weekend trips, and whatever Oregon weather brings your way.

The Pros to Getting Aquapel Water Repellent

Aquapel is a water-repellent glass treatment designed specifically for automotive applications. Rather than simply coating the surface temporarily, the treatment bonds with the glass to create a hydrophobic effect. When rain hits a treated windshield, water forms beads that can move across the glass more readily, helping reduce the amount of water that remains on the surface. This can support clearer visibility during rainy drives and complement the work performed by your windshield wipers. Aquapel can also make it easier to remove certain types of dirt, bugs, and other residue that collect on automotive glass during regular driving. Its effects can last for months under normal conditions, making it a convenient addition to seasonal vehicle maintenance. For Salem drivers accustomed to wet fall and winter weather, treating the windshield before the rainy season can be a simple way to help keep exterior glass easier to maintain. Combined with properly functioning wipers and routine windshield cleaning, Aquapel helps your vehicle stay prepared when the forecast changes.
